The Bog Stank
Perhaps not quite the cascade one was expecting from the thumbnail!
A walk through the Langriggs and then Cumbernauld Glen was completed by a return to Cumbernauld Village via Cumbernauld House Park. It is a popular all-year-round walk of about two miles, fitting the time I had available today. I made a short detour within the Park to visit the remains of the motte of the 12th century Cumbernauld Castle. Photos of that will no doubt make it into my daily blip another time.
Instead, I've gone for a photo of the burn (stream) that runs through the Village and the Glen, the name of which is the less-than-pleasant-sounding Bog Stank.
