Felling of trees

The contractors came in this morning and started felling our trees.  It will look strange with nothing growing on the hill, especially since they have been there for over 23 years. 

It has been interesting watching the felling process.  Our neighbours have just about finishing felling their trees, and we have been keeping an eye on progress over the past few months.

It's back to work for me tomorrow after six weeks off for school holidays.  Six weeks sounds a lot, but I'm really not sure where the weeks have disappeared to.

The weather over the past month has certainly not been what you would expect of summer.  Today was one of the best days we have had.  The temperature reached 28 degrees - now that the children are returning to school, the weather will improve.  That's so typical!
