Not a single moment of Greek sunshine today. Wall-to-wall thick cloud. No shadows. Light levels absolutely constant and flat throughout the day. Boring, except for this freight ship at dusk, for scale.

The lambs are nine weeks old and weaned. Postponing their single feed by 90 minutes each day has paid off, I can stay in bed later in the mornings if I choose to and all livestock are fed at the same time in the evening. It seems that the mother sheep has stopped feeding Vespa too, I'm not sure if she has been following my lead. All are plump but Lambretta and Scooter are definitely fatter than their sister and I hope that a solid diet returns their sides to parallel. I would be embarrassed for a local to see them as they are at the moment.

Having cleared cut and seasoned logs from the road yesterday, today was spent dragging fallen branches about the place. Those that had been out of reach of the sheep and were still in full leaf were brought into the sheep pasture and those from the sheep pasture that had been nibbled and were now leafless were brought up out from there ready to be cut. This is not a job that can be completed in a single day. Possibly not even in a single week.
