Beam action
The 'Grand Junction' 90 inch beam engine in full swing is an impressive beast indeed. It never fails to instill a sense of the awesome power of steam on a grand scale. It is now the largest working beam engine in the world and well worth a visit if you are passing. Maintained by a group of the most enthusiastic volunteers along with a host of other engines of all shapes and sizes.
