Year of the Rooster

C's year have been learning about China this term and for the last day of the topic, and to coincide with the Chinese New Year tomorrow, Chinese food was on the menu for lunch, the dress code was yellow and red or something Oriental, and the parents were invited to join the children in there classroom at the end of the day to see what they've been up to. There indoor PE lessons this term have been learning some Tai Chi and Charlotte and a couple of her friends were keen to demonstrate a little to me, followed by a whole class demonstration, with some audience participation.

After school we headed north for my birthday weekend away, a lovely cottage in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside just outside Thirsk.
