Migrant in Moscow

In the Sheets

The sun came out this afternoon and offered a small window of light.  These are the domes of the "Church of the Trinity in the Sheets" as it's translated.  'Sheets' in this instance referring to the local printers who used the fence of the church to hang printed sheets and engravings.  It's one of the oldest churches in Moscow; first reports (in wooden format) going back to 1635.  A subsequent reconstruction in brick listed it at that time as the largest architectural project in Moscow.  Well before these jobs (and at night).
