Peace and Quiet

Well, not exactly as I envisioned (altho I did not get out of bed til after 9!) Rowed the alden(nice), did some pick up chores, and H decided today was the day to put the grey rowing float away on the beach at the end of the bay (since our neighbor has guests who will help). And the neighbor and some guests wanted to row the quad, which we had to get out of the boathouse and launch from the beach. (the water felt pretty warm!) Just as H and I were ready to tow the float, Islandcat and her visiting brother came along - and helped! They also rowed my dory. Later I went down to Islandcat's to use her internet to download a library book (thank you, Islandcat!) and on the way back, just before the sun set, I got this picture with the iPad of the beach at the end of our bay. You can see (if you look large) the grey rowing float on the ramp to the boathouse (tomorrow we will take it apart in 3 pieces, and drag it up past the beach for winter..with help from younger and stronger!).) and also the 45 ft. 4 person rowing shell which we left on the beach (upside down on stretchers, can't see it very well) for another go tomorrow - hoping for good water! But the main reason for the picture is the light at this time of night! (The ipad was the only camera I had with me) Now it's time to go to bed with a book! Whew.
