EB - Friends of The Lake District ceilidh
Thank you all for the superb response to Trow Gill, its a magical place.
A busy day today at a LibDem volunteer training day followed by being volunteered to help in the evening at the ceilidh that Friends organise to thank all their volunteers who head out onto the fell in all weathers to plant trees, maintain paths and help build walls.
I love a good party - right up until the organised dancing begins - for some reason just not my thing - so I manned the honesty bar - kept it stocked, helped empty it a little bit and 'encouraged' donations.
To be honest as a blipper I had pretty low expectations for the LibDem event - but had hoped I might be able to get a good shot of the haggis being piped in or some such subject - but over a houndred people made for a poor blip - as did the whole event being lit by Christmas lights.
Fortunatley the latest edition of Conserving Lakeland was on the table - so at least I now get a quarterly EB!!
