High Point

The peak on the left was the high point of today's skiing, Weisshorn at 2653m. The weather was fantastic and we managed a creditable 30km of actual skiing with nearly 5000m of vertical descent. We normally try and spend the first day cruising the blues and getting our ski legs going. We got bored of the blues before lunch so embarked on a few reds. Unfortunately I mis-read the piste map and we ended up on a very steep and icy black run - not what I needed on day 1. We successfully navigated the black though not with much style!
