Calm seas

This is part of the coastal path we walked today. We caught the train to Teignmouth and walked back to Dawlish Warren. The sun shone all day except for a short shower. We saw 3 pairs of black swans and three young black swans at Dawlish. This is the place where on 14th February in 2014, the terrific storms destroyed part of the railway line which travels along the coast and links up with Cornwall. We noticed that in the area where the damage was done, the water was breaking at a higher level than either side. When we returned to Exmouth (which you can see in the distance on the other side of the estuary) on the train, we noticed they had had some very heavy rain which we had completely missed. A total of over 9 miles walked.
