From Another Era

Another grey day, but started wonderfully with a successful link-up, via FaceTime linked to a tele, with the group who support us here.

Went for a walk further up the abandoned railway - this was the station for Cabeção - you can see the name on the further building as passengers would have seen it, arriving there. There was a eucalyptus growing through the arched ticket window. The station is about 5km from the town - no idea how passengers got home from there.

Thankfully, the closest we got to wild boar was seeing the skeleton of a dead one in the drainage ditch just to the left of this photo - looked remarkably human.
