Find your way out of the wild wild wood

A  ( mostly ) beautiful day with bright sunshine and big billowy clouds.  Rain threatened but didn't happen. A quick walk down to the river with my camera coincided with some lovely light. I scrambled down the bank in my slippery wellies and nearly fell in. I got very muddy and found this strange wood ear fungus and some winter aconites, some snowdrops, and saw lovely sunlit trees with dark stormy clouds behind them. (Extra) I got home covered in mud and very happy. I can't think why people don't like winter.
