Iconic Madeira

If Madeira has a national flower, I'd guess it's the estrelicia. Although there are an awful lot of flowers to choose from, even in this cooler season. To the botanical garden this morning, using the local buses - great fun, though very fast and very vertiginous! The extra pic is of the lovely bougainvillea, coating one of the garden walls.
