"Enough with the squirrels already!"

Emerson here!  I thought it was time to put my two cents in as mom has become a bit obsessed with the squirrels of late, not that I don't appreciate their crazy antics on the back porch.  I enjoy watching them too but enough is enough!

Mom tried a "painterly" effect on this portrait of me; not sure what that is but I think it rather emphasizes my golden eyes quite nicely.  It does, however, accentuate the grey hairs that seem to be popping up all over me now.  Mom says it is only fair since her hair is pretty much going the same way so we will match.  Won't that be nice!

Mom says we are going back into the "deep freeze" starting today.  All I know is that I can't enjoy my porch right now.  Too blasted cold out there for my delicate foot pads.  Did I ever tell you about the time she put me on the porch and then FORGOT ME!  I did get a lot of extra treats and cuddles when I finally got in so I guess it was worth it.

Things have been very quiet around here lately but mom says in a couple of months she will be visiting Uncle Brad and Auntie Elaine in some place called "Minnesota".  That's fine as I get to stay with Auntie Rebecca and she always gives me extra treats and NEVER forgets I am on the porch.  TaTa for now!
