Brass Monkeys

This fence post beside the Braehead playground remained like this the whole day so you can imagine how cold the swings & slide felt.

Although it's a great neighbouring area for a playground, its not the ideal siting for it. There's an old river terrace rising behind the playground for fifty feet and this shadows it in winter for the whole day. In summer its only in the sun in the after afternoon and evening...so unfortunately the swing seats are more often damp than dry.

The nearby old Cramond Brig makes for a beautiful blip, though I thought this one was more timely.
