Chandelier of lost earrings

I went to grimsby Minster to see this sculpture today. It is made by Sharon Campbell and Lauren Sagar as an art project and consists of earrings. When they started with the idea they asked for donations of earrings where one of the pair had been lost. Within a year they had 3,000 earrings and and lots of stories of why these earrings meant something to the owners. These stories became part of the project.
It positively glistens and was full of memories as you could read many of the stories from women about why they had kept one of the pair and why they were important to them.
