Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1916

While Europe was at war, this vast edifice, with it's iconic dome, was built as a new centrepiece of the MIT campus.  This building and it's extensions  collectively seem larger than many British campuses.  There are many, many more buildings...

Being at MIT has been a truly humbling experience - there are so many incredibly smart and motivated people here.  After all that it's very weird seeing my name on a certificate with the MIT logo at the top.
