Hi, flyers!

I bought a bird I didn't need,
a cheaply made ceramic.
As ornamental pieces go
I can't say it's dynamic.

It flies beside another bird
I keep as ornamental,
though really it's a chopsticks-rest,
but that is incidental.

The third bird here that flies with them
is one I've had for ever,
a little Whimsie made by Wade:
they're three birds of a fevver!

The biggest of the three is made in Portugal, and I bought him last week in Madeira. The middle-sized chopsticks-rest I bought from the British Museum a few years ago, and the little 'Whimsie' I've had since childhood. A bit of the blues makes sense today - it's cold, grey and raining, and I'm feeling miserable with my cold. Ho hum!
