Tiny
Bouncing around the base of the trees and occasionally climbing the bark in search of insects, this little wren was happily foraging in the copse of trees. Great to see.
We do have wrens in our garden but they are difficult to photograph as they tend to be under the shrubs and are fast little movers! There was one year when we discovered that in the winter chill they took over the swallows ex-residence and positively piled in. All you could see on the nest cam was a mass of tiny tails pointing vertically upwards as they snuggled together for warmth! Very sweet!
