Bird activity

We moved the bird feeder into the middle of the garden and the birds have gone even more crazy for it! It is slightly closer to the apple tree which is their favourite perch but it is also in open ground and I wonder if they feel safer in the knowledge that any cat would be visible approaching. Not only are they going through the food twice as fast but they are taking new routes through the garden as if exploring new flight paths. It's highly entertaining to watch.
