A Murder
Backblip for Thursday 26th January 2017
This was one of the crows I spotted down at Ouasine whilst TheAphid was having his piano lesson. There was a small flock of them taking it in turns to pick apart a rabbit carcass. They were being watched by a small gathering of magpies also wanting to get in on the act. Of course as soon as I stopped watching them I heard a big kerfuffle looked up to see a buzzard trying to get in on the act. I was so shocked that I didn't even reach for the camera. They mobbed the buzzard, chasing it as far away as possible without allowing the magpies too much time to steal their prize and then flew back to carry on picking at the carcass.
