Locked In
At the least some 500 people attended the farewell service for Cynthia, my daughter's friend since their schoolyears, who died last Saturday. Over 500 folks who lock her in their hearts.
That cruel disease ALS/MND killed her within 6½ months since she noticed her loss of power while swimming when on holidays with her young family. The onset of fall out went very rapidly and she and her man and closest of kin found themselves on a rollorcoaster that suddenly came to halt Saturday last. Heartbroken they are and at the least 500 folks with them.
Before the service began we all could pay our last respect to Cynthia who was laid in open casket then and it hit me that her upper teeth were visible, as to show us all how hard she'd faught her unwelcome fate.
