Thursday: Literary Lunches

I went to a great event today, namely the award ceremony of this year's Canadian Non-Fiction Book of the Year.  There were four nominees, all equally interesting and impressive.  The talent in the room was amazing, including those who were nominated to present the books (including one of Canada's most accomplished poets).

The prize went to an author called Sandra Martin for 'A Good Death' about our right to make choices in our final days.

Finished the day with a dinner at my Swiss colleague's house in North Shore.
