Hearings centre
I called in today to the Edinburgh Children's Hearings centre, tucked away in Newington
I was meeting up with a senior civil servant who had been observing hearings and, with a colleague from SCRA, took the chance to discuss some of the issues observed. Regrettably , I did not get to see the panel members.
The building was opened in March 2000 and I was present at the event. This s the foyer and it and the building have stood the test of time quite well. As always things could be improved and have more space, especially in one of the hearing rooms, but in the confines of the plot it maximises the opportunities.
Despite the lovely day and proximity to my home, I headed in to the office to keep on top of papers and meetings for next week.
