Girls who Mix

A fantastic end to the day, it has to be said.

I had an invite to an event celebrating the completion of 101 Embankment at Greengate in Salford. An area and project I've been involved in for some time, and getting to this point has taken some doing.

So it was speeches and celebrations. The views from the building are quite spectacular. One is included in the extra, I took lots in all directions.

Walking up Cathedral Approach to the new building, I was greeted by two lightly glad young women dancing with fire (extra). I asked them if they weren't freezing. It probably isn't in the job description to say Yes !

Also on the Approach was a very large Chinese dragon (extra), no doubt awaiting the Chinese New Years Day parade. It looked quite surreal with the backdrop of glossy new buildings.

And Girls who Mix - a trio (only two there tonight, the percussionist was missing). VIVAEms, the DJ who spins is pictured,  GirlwithSax was walking around playing her lit up saxaphone - very proficiently.
