Tips for Blips

One in a series of handy tips.

Today’s little gem is for those travellers who bring back liquids from holiday but cannot pack them in cabin luggage.

Here we see a bottle of Moroccan olive and a bottle of Moroccan Argan oil, secured safely in plastic water bottles.

Start by taking abroad a useful knife. (Points to knife).

Do not pack this in your hand luggage, as it will result in confrontation, confiscation and possible incarceration.

Also pack a suitable length of broad sticky tape. A whole roll will be too much so wind a length around a suitable small device such as a pencil. (Points to pencil).

Collect large, empty, plastic bottles for future use.
In this case empty 1.5 litre water bottles.

Slice open the top of the bottle, not all the way, but enough to be able to carry out the steps below.

Pack a small quantity of absorbent material in the top and bottom of the bottle, insert the bottle and tape up. (Points to completed oil cocoon as described above)

Pack the bottles securely in the middle of the suitcase.

In this way you have increased the chances of a safe return without a suitcase full of oil (or other liquids).

There is a fine line between being prepared and obsession.
