Trinquet Moderne Bayonne

Back-blip 2 of 3.....

After some very productive meetings with our French Partner Company and before dinner with them, they took us to see an exhibition of Basque Pelota, the name for a variety of court sports played with a ball using one's hand, racquet, wooden bat or a basket, against a wall or, more traditionally, with two teams face to face separated by a line on the ground or a net. The World Championships took place in the Trinquet Moderne Bayonne in 1978.


We had a go too but unsurprisingly it's much more difficult than it looks!
