Bokor Mountain

We had a big breakfast and got on the road to go up the mountain in Bokor national park. The roads are still such good quality and it's really safe (and definitely fun!)

We did all the usual sights except for the waterfall which is apparently without water due to it being dry season. This photo is from the abandoned casino by Bokor Hill Station.

Once we'd finished, we realised we had just about enough time to drive to the pepper farm too, even though it's on the other side of Kampot. We went to Le Plantation, a new business that's opened its doors since I was last here. They give free tours and tastings. It was really great! On the way there, we passed the Khmer Roots Cafe, a fantastic restaurant I'd visited twice in 2014 but in a different location.

We had dinner there with their seemingly endless number of cute kittens and puppies. The food was some of the best I've had in Cambodia (once again) and the family were lovely. It was a perfect way to end an amazing day.

The drive back in the dark on dirt roads wasn't much fun but we took it slowly and carefully and then all went to bed early and watched a film.
