The Small and the Vulnerable

Another Chineham sculpture today. This one is outside the shopping centre and sounds like is more interesting than my poor efforts to photograph it suggest.

Can't find much about it but a quick Google search suggests that this sculpture is "dedicated to the fragile, the small and the vulnerable". There are three elements including one which is based on the chrysalis of a swallowtail butterfly but together they represent three endangered species. I've spent many a happy hour on holiday in France chasing Swallowtails trying to get a decent photo so I have a soft spot for that particular butterfly.

If I'd had more time I'm sure I could have found a more interesting angle but today a simple view will have to do. I'll have to go back another day and see if I can do the structure more justice.

Had an appointment with a spinal consultant late in the day. Looks like I'll be in again next week but at least this time I'll be straight in and out in a day.
