A visit to the CNY market
Today my partners in crime were Ev and her daughter Addie and friend Nadine. A beautifully warm glorious day in Hong Kong and Victoria Park was resplendent with colour.
This year's CNY artefacts weren't as good as other years! I suppose you can't really do much with roosters!
But we did enjoy all the usual CNY flowers. Auspicious to have in your home for various reasons. These here are called Fox Face, apart from other names. But this one is most polite. Their colour really stood out in the sun. The Chinese have these in their homes or as part of decorations because of their golden hues. And red and gold are the most auspicious colours at Chinese New Year!
Back home to prepare dinner for our next door neighbour (lovely Scottish lady) and her mum who is visiting. A very pleasant evening getting to know our neighbour better.
