Snaking through Brisbane city and surrounds, the Brisbane River travels 344km from the Great Dividing Range before emptying into Moreton Bay.
Home to the Queensland lungfish, Brisbane River cod and whopping bull sharks ( no swimming then!) on top of the river are ferries,the 'cats and hoppers' that criss cross back and forth.

Boardwalks rim the river in the city centre and suburbs so it will be 'Shanks' Pony' for the next week and  hopping on hoppers up and down the river  while visiting this very cool Australian city.
