Solitude....

We have had sunshine today but marred by strong southwest winds. Emily and Rachel have had a couple of swims. My sore rib has kept me out of the water. I wandered down to the foreshore this evening. It was a place of contrasts with groups of teenagers chatting amongst themselves and, as in this image, people walking along a deserted beach. The sea is still being ruffled by the crisp cold breeze.
