Euphonia violacea?
Was excited to see a flash of yellow whizz past the window at lunch time and though I was slow changing the lens and getting outside, I still managed to catch up. It must have been a juvenile taking its first flying lessons, as it seemed a bit confused, but I could hear a parent bird tweeting instructions. He had a lovely bright yellow chest and I think may be a Euphonia violacea - can anyone confirm that?
Otherwise, the day has been dedicated to the kitchen (hot, boring and time-consuming) and scanning documents (air-conditioned, boring and time-consuming). The road names on the deeds to our house in the hills don't match the town hall's records (and the rates payment slips, where the name suddenly changed in 1987 to that of a completely different road. As they say here, "Freud explica" - Freud can explain it... Either way, the mismatch prevented us last Friday from getting the clearance certificates we need. There's always one more thing to sort out.
