Here comes the night

Assessment level night nav training today - and in tough conditions.
There's a certain sort of damp rain, beyond drizzle but no actual drops - like a saturating fog , it simply gets everywhere however good your kit - well tonight confirmed that that is my least favourite type of rain.

Specific to the event this week;
Don't carry spare batteries for a headtorch - simply carry a spare headtorch - relatively good units can be bought very cheaply now - and trust me, this is the voice of experience typing, it's nigh on impossible to change fiddly batteries in the dark, and the rain, on the side of a mountain.
