Three Minutes

More correctly, three books of Minutes, pertaining to the choir of Central Hall Methodist Church, West Tollcross, Edinburgh, that Mr Flum has been trawling through to compile a list of all past members, in preparation for an important reunion on 7th February.

The earliest record is from 1948, when it was decided that a committee of officials should be elected, their first AGM did not take place until October 1949, the last is dated February 2007. 

The style of writing, evolving from pen-and-ink script, through ballpoint pen, to computer printout demonstrates the passage of time and makes fascinating reading, not least for the constant emphasis on the need to attend choir practices regularly.
