Carrumbin & Surfers Paradise Beaches
This morning we spent a few hours on Carrumbin Beach which is a few miles from our hotel based at Surfers Paradise, on The Gold Coast.
Carrumbin won Australia's award of the cleanest beach in 2013; It's a good two miles or so long. The blip extra was taken from Elephant Rock looking South. You can just make out a lone person sat on the beach - so different to the 'Creek' part which is like an inlet where we spent a couple of hours.
When we got back to our apartment mid afternoon, we dumped our stuff and went for a stroll along Surfers Paradise beach which is a few miles long with yellow Life Guard stations every half mile or so. The blip photo is taken at Station 29 whereas we can see the yellow station 31 from our room. It gives you an idea how lovely and large Australias beaches are.
