A day of ups and downs.

A phone call with the estate agent this morning to say that somebody else had put in a higher offer than me and would I like to increase my offer?

Then onto school where I had a couple of lessons right when I knew the estate agent would be calling. One really annoying lesson where there were a few boys who were really brilliant and really engaged with a classroom full of other boys who were just being silly. Then a lesson of girls where the majority were really brilliant and engaged and there were just a few being silly. I love young people but I could not be a teacher. 

Phone call with the agent with the bidding war continuing. I popped home for lunch and was feeling thoroughly depressed about the whole thing.

Then on to another school for another session when the agent should be calling. Thankfully I could nip out of this one to take a call to say the house was mine! Wow.

So, yeah. I've bought a proper grown up house and I am so thankful! God has been so faithful  to me over the years. I know I'm really fortunate and really privileged in a world where so many have less...but I'm so thankful for what I've been given.

My blip today is the bookshop where I have my office and which has been opposite my beautiful little home for the past 4 years. More publicity pics for them today. Ha, funny thing....James Corden's dad is a Christian book rep and was in for a meeting today. The man has great socks!
