The Smoking Carriage

Some of the properties on the seafront at Selsey started life as a railway carriage.

Most have been lovingly restored and vastly added to, making the railway carriage itself only a very small part of the property.

I do, however, love this one.  The window is definitely not original but the door is, complete with its "SMOKING" sign on the door.  Amazing to think that there were dedicated smoking carriages.  I imagine the air was a bit thick!

The extra shows one of the properties which hasn't been extended. I love it, but it must be like living in a corridor!
