Kite Surfers

For my first full day in South Africa Phil and Jean took us on a tour around the cape winelands. We went to the berry farm in Mooiberg for a cream tea. Then through Stellenbosch, stopping at the "French" town of Franschoek. On the way back we went to Yonder Hill wine estate for a free wine tasting, which was lovely. Even Courtney found a white she liked. Delicious olive paste as well.

In the evening Courtney drove us to the strand, a coastal town by Somerset West, for a walk along the beach. Despite the fact that most South Africans seemed to be currently terrified of the weather there were plenty of kite surfers making use of the plentiful wind.
