The Altar
An appropriate walk for the Sabbath day. This amazing rock formation is still attached to the cliff by a narrow path, but we didn't venture over it today. It is possible for a small boat to sail between the "legs" of the altar at high tide in decent weather. It's a stiff climb up to the cliff top, over a very muddy field, but well worth it for the views, north and south, on a day like this.
Ollie and Scratch were behaved themselves and stayed well away from the cliff edge, as far as it was possible to at any rate. The track is outside the fence line, and very narrow in places. Okay on a flat calm day, when the grass is dry and not too slippy!
