Single Apple

Just one single apple hanging on this tree in the walled garden at Gibside (a National Trust property about nine miles from Newcastle).  Today has been a beautiful day - a little cold but a brilliant blue sky.  It makes such a difference from the horrible grey days we've been having recently.
