Gorgeous morning, but absolutely freezing - minus seven according to the thermometer.

We walked along the Thames from Hurley to Marlow and back again marvelling at seeing parts of the river frozen over; I have never seen that before.

I made the mistake of not checking my camera's battery before we set off, and as a consequence only managed a couple of pictures before it ran out of juice.
I don't know what the plants are in this field, but they looked beautiful rimed in frost - it was so still, not a breath of wind.

We stopped in Cookham on the way home to London - time for a bit more planning, but not in time to visit the wonderful Stanley Spencer gallery which was just closing - but a perfect excuse for a return visit.
