Fun with friends

I am feeling absolutely exhausted after my first week in the new lab. There's so much to do, with lots of new skills to learn, and many molecular papers to read and understand. Thankfully there is a lot of help and everyone is lovely, but I was very much looking forward to the weekend and a rest. 

I had a lovely lie in to start my day, before heading out on a bike ride. Before I went, I decided to try and pump up my tyres as I haven't done it before and need to be confident in case I get a puncture whilst out. It all went completely wrong and I managed to let all the air out of my back tyre and couldn't use my pump at all... thankfully I've got friends who know more about bikes than I do to help me fix it soon! 

I then had a wonderful evening with all of my friends, playing games and drinking :)
