Piz Belvair

A day out with the local mountaineering club and a proper expedition this time. Weather amazing, conditions fluctuating between beautiful powder and too many rocks, on or just below the surface.
It's been a 12 year break from ski-touring for me and despite my anxieties it was amazing to be back out in the white powder wilderness. A group of 10 chamois passed ahead of us at one point and we met other locals and dogs on the summit.
The best thing of all was heading straight out of the door and summiting a peak in our own "back yard" so to speak.
