Leslie's Speech
It's been a fine day, sunny spells in the more but more cloudy in the afternoon. It's been dry all day.
I've been working again today on the museum desk. It's been another busy day of visitors, which always passes the day quickly. Mam was in town at lunchtime, so grabbed a sandwich and we both enjoyed a walk around town. Haggis, neeps and tatties for tea tonight, and now a quiet evening with the telly.
It was a brilliant night out last night, plenty of drams and laughs, and a birthday boy in our squad too. After we all did our acts and all enjoyed a few dances, this year's Jarls Squad did their final dance around the hall, Guizer Jarl's speech and then next year's Jarl's speech. Next year's Jarl is Leslie Setrice, and he's our squad leader, standing on stage. Great speech and proud to be in his squad, even more so for me being a real viking next year :) Taken in the Scalloway Hall.
