Far from the maddening crowd

Only 15 hours after I departed the Washington DC metropolitan area, having witnessed the rollercoaster of a nightmare inauguration followed by an incredible, empowering Women's March for human rights (that I participated in), I am back home - in my adopted country. Few things cleanse the soul and restore peace as well as a long hike through the woods and along the river into the sunset with my faithful Husky.
