Sunset over the Lakes

Another day painting at Maulds, with a bedroom and bathroom the target for the day - it's really starting to look good now.

This evening I was lecturing at Workington Camera Club, so came back from Maulds a little earlier than usual. The whole day had been murky, but as I drove along the A66, the setting sun broke out from behind the clouds, bathing the base of Blencathra in golden sunlight.

the evening went really well, and I rounded it off with a couple of drinks in the pub opposite the hall in which the camera club meet.
