Old York Stone Wall

Apparently these types of York stone walls, made out of paving slabs are particular to my part of Lancashire.

I stumbled across this one on my run today, still very intact, no longer in use. Once you start looking you can find them all over Rochdale. They stand the test of time and would have been placed by hand.
