Now this is what I call a sun rise

The weather forecast last night gave the possibility of sun early on today and so it was. A friend of mine has lent me a Nikon D300 and assorted lenses. This morning I used it with a Sigma 10-20mm lens, all a bit different to my kit lenses. The camera is much heavier and it has taken me a while to find out where all the controls are but this morning I felt confident enough to use it on my blip.
The main picture was taken walking across Lamberts Castle into the sun and the extra picture was taken looking down into the valley
