Into the unknown

Today was the Devil's Burdens relay over the Lomond Hills in Fife. I was a reserve but heard at 2pm yesterday I was needed for Leg 1 for one of the club teams.
The day dawned very misty and I saw very little on my leg but did take at least 3 mins off last year's time (forgot the watch so will have to wait for the results to know how much) over less than 3 miles. Once finished and handed on to Mr Rat and Paul I drove the Leg 3 pair to their start through very thick mist. but as we arrived we could see the mist was low down and there was some brightness coming through. Those who went right up the hills had brilliant sun and were running above a sea of cloud, lucky them, though there were some icy patches.
I spent quite a bit of time taking coats around from starts to finishes.
The photo shows daughter (in black and yellow and shorts to left of marshals) just setting off on her leg, she passed her Dad coming down a couple of mins later.
